The SKS Construction Team includes licensed professional engineers, construction managers, foremen, and construction crew members, ensuring that everything from design through construction is covered within the same company. Our team is led by our President, Sol Shaolian, M.S., PE, a licensed professional engineer and contractor who has specialized in seismic retrofitting since 1981. After working for the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety and teaching structural engineering at a university level, Sol started his own firm in 1987.
In 2015, Sol’s sons, Sam and Shahab Shaolian, joined SKS Construction. After working at one of the largest general contractor companies in the United States, Sam brought with him modern tools in the construction management field. Shahab worked at two of the largest structural engineering firms in Los Angeles before joining SKS Construction, where he contributed to significant projects like balcony repairs and earthquake retrofitting.
Sol and his staff have since completed over 700 projects for property owners throughout California, ranging from smaller residential buildings to 500,000 square foot properties.
